Conjunctions are used to join words, phrases or sentences.

used to join 2 different ideas or to show an unexpected result

2.   She did not send in many entries but she won the contest.

used to show different choices or a possible result.
1.   Do you like Mathematics or History?
2.   Eat now or you will be hungry.

used to show a reason
1.   She was late because the bus broke down.
2.   She did not hear the bell because the radio was loud.

1.   She is sad so her friends cheer her up.
2.   Anita played well so she won the game.



Prepositions

Preposition are used to show location, direction and time.
